While any significant storm is weeks out, there is some moisture headed our way tonight and tomorrow. And while this is a odd system to say the lest, we could end up with 3-4 inches south of Hwy 50. This is from a low which has been spinning off the Baja coast and is ejecting northward, much like summer monsoon moisture. Snow levels will start out at around 7500 feet and slowly lower to 7000, maybe even 6500.
Wednesday, the ridge builds back in and temperatures warm up the rest of the week.
There are no major storms in the forecast for the next 2 weeks. Years like this normally break in mid February and give us good precipitation through April.
Skiing at Kirkwood has been quite good considering the lack of new snow. They are 100% open.
